JetBlue Airways Celebrates a Decade of Joyous Flying

JetBlue, New York value based airliner celebrated its 10th anniversary in February, 2010. It started its operations on Feb 11, 2000 from New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with two daily nonstop flights on Feb. 11, 2000. The airliner features a special A320 aircraft with 10-themed livery on the tailfin.

JetBlue offers most number of domestic departures from New York area and most non-stop departures from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). It is 7th largest airliner in US in terms of passenger traffic. It serves 60 destinations across 20 states and 11 countries in Caribbean and Latin America.

JetBlue’s home base is Terminal 5 at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). The terminal has all best in class facilities, 26 gates, 55,000 square foot of retail marketplace. It has been designed to serve 20 million passengers annually and can support 250 daily departures. It continues to be at number one spot at Boston's Logan International Airport and at Los Angeles's Long Beach Airport.
The airliner manages TrueBlue as their frequent flyer program. Passengers accumulate loyalty reward points each time they travel with JetBlue. The points accumulated will not expire if the passenger travels within 12 months of last journey or makes any transaction with JetBlue card. There are close to 10 million registered TrueBlue frequent flyer members.

Over the years, JetBlue has emerged as the most admired airliner in US. Last year it was ranked as the “Highest in Customer Satisfaction Among Low-Cost Carriers in North America” by JD Power associates.

JetBlue has been an airliner with marked differentiation. It offers free snacks and drinks, satellite radio, Live TV and spacious seats. No other low-cost airliner other than JetBlue has been able in providing fine hospitality and on-ground services in North America.

It is the only US airliner which offers Customer Bill of Rights. In case of any inconvenience caused to passengers they can refer to their compensatory entitlements. Such transparent norms and service bonuses have made it most admired airliner of the last decade.
