News from TravelPriceCompare.com:
Delta Airlines Rebranding Northwest Airlines
posted on: December 30. 2009.
Delta Airlines has announced plans to rebrand Northwest Airlines in all
aspects including removal of logos on aircrafts, marketing and signage boards.
In fact this announcement comes straight after a week when a terrorist tried to
bring down the aircraft. Federal aviation administration has already certified
single operating strategy. This will complete the ongoing merger formalities
between the two entities. Northwest alone served more than 350 destinations and
had a passenger load of more than 150 million passengers a year.
Brand Northwest is slowly disappearing from the airports and marketing
arenas. Northwest's staff has been seamless merged with Delta's and aircrafts
have been repainted too. Training material and in-flight sync of hospitality
services is also almost complete. It would give Delta Airlines more traction and
better way to market itself especially after the recent terrorist on-boarding in
the year end of 2009. There is no doubt that Delta Airlines is largest carrier
in US in terms of revenue, customer load and fleet. It is a preferred airline
partner amongst the passengers for the kinds of benefits they can avail by
traveling with them.
Northwest Airlines will soon be history as Delta Airlines will replace the
visibility with their own. It is expected that Delta Airlines will be the
torch bearer and take the merged entity to newer heights within the due course
of time.
