News from TravelPriceCompare.com:
Storm prompts flight reschedules for free
Milwaukee is expected to receive snow storm on Christmas Eve and for a couple
of days more. The storm is expected to affect some parts of the Midwest and
bring snow, rains and sleet. This has caused major air flight reschedules in the
region. Airliners have taken proactive measures and asked their passengers to
reschedule their bookings without paying extra.
Some of the largest airliners who are allowing ticket swap or free
reschedules are as follow:
• Northwest and Delta Airlines are allowing passengers to change their flight
schedules for free if date of journey is and in between December 22 and December
27.
• For tickets booked on December 24 or 25, AirTran Airways is allowing free of
charge rescheduling of tickets.
• Frontier Airlines and Midwest Airlines are allowing passengers to rebook for
free between December 22 t0 December 25 if there flight is through Milwaukee.
Storms causing flight reschedules is not a new phenomena. With simple things
passengers can maximize their benefit out of it. Transit passengers may get to
stay on an airline provided accommodation and food for free of cost till the
time storm settles and passengers are ready for taking off. For those who are
staying in the region, it is advised to leave for the airport early in order to
secure a seat in the aircraft. Usually it takes some time to clear the backlog
of passengers from an airport before a normal stable passenger load is reached
as before.
